Cookie policy

This Cookie policy explains how wpmtypingtest.online uses cookies and similar technologies.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. They help websites remember information about your visit. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in a comparable way but keep the information only on your device.

Cookies set by the typing test

None. The typing test does not set any cookies.

Local storage used by the typing test

To make the test more useful, it saves the following in your browser. This information never leaves your device:

  • Settings: your chosen time, text type and options.
  • Personal bests: your best score for each combination of settings.
  • History: your last ten results, shown in the analysis.
  • Custom text: the text you pasted to practise with, if any.
  • Session data: your latest result and the order of practice topics, kept only until you close the tab.

Advertising cookies

We may use Google AdSense to show ads, which are never displayed during a test. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads, to limit how often you see an ad, to measure how ads perform and, with your consent where required, to personalise ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Learn more in how Google uses cookies in advertising.

Site administration cookies

If you log in to manage the website, WordPress sets cookies to keep you logged in. Ordinary visitors never receive these.

Managing cookies

  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies will not stop the typing test from working.
  • You can turn off personalised ads at Google Ads Settings.
  • Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before advertising cookies are used, and can change that choice at any time.
