Privacy policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
This Privacy policy explains what information wpmtypingtest.online (“we”, “us”) collects, how it is used and the choices you have. We have designed the typing test so that your typing never leaves your device.
Information we do not collect
The typing test runs entirely in your browser. We do not require an account, and we do not collect your name, the text you type, your keystrokes or your results. Nothing you type in the test is sent to our server.
Information stored on your device
To remember your settings and show your progress, the test saves a small amount of data in your browser’s local storage and session storage. This includes your chosen settings, your personal best scores, your last ten results and, if you use it, your custom practice text. This data stays on your device. You can delete it at any time with the “Clear history” link after a test, or by clearing your browser’s site data.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time. These logs are used only to keep the site secure and working, and are deleted on a regular schedule.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We may show advertising to keep the site free. Ads are never shown while you are taking a test. We use Google AdSense, a service provided by Google.
- Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time.
Cookies
The typing test itself does not set any cookies. Advertising partners such as Google may set cookies as described above. For full details, see our Cookie policy.
If you contact us by email, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We do not add you to any mailing list and we do not share your message with anyone else.
Children
This site is suitable for all ages, but it is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, to object to its use and to withdraw consent. Because the typing test keeps your data on your own device, you control it directly. For anything else, contact us and we will respond within the time required by law.
Links to other websites
Our pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
